The club aims to improve member’s public speaking
skills as well as their debating abilities. Debates
are held according to JCI’s
debating guidelines, which can be downloaded from
this page. During each meeting, which is held once
a month members are divided into groups and can
debate for and against any motion they choose.
Heated debates have been known to occur. Training
courses by JCI trainers
were delivered twice for the year 2009.
JCI Aleppo is also planning
for debating competition with other local
JCI chapters in Syria,
and possibly working towards participating in the
JCI world debating competition
which will be held during the
JCI world congress in Tunisia.
